Coffeyville is located on US Highway 169 in the southeast corner of Kansas, about 75 miles north of Tulsa, Oklahoma and 60 miles west of Joplin, Missouri. Located at the intersection of US Highway 169 and US Highway 166, Coffeyville sees over 20,000 cars daily on these two highways and is the most populous city in Montgomery County. The Kansas DOT has begun work on a freeway project on Highway 169 near the Industrial Park, and Walmart is building a SuperCenter at the intersection of Hwy 166 and CR 5300.
